*NEW* US Antarctic Scientists Directory

A New Resource for US Antarctic Science - The US Antarctic Scientists Directory

US-SCAR has created the US Antarctic Scientists Directory and you are invited to register! The intent of the Directory is to have a list of scientists who work in the US Antarctic Program (USAP). Currently the only list readily available is through the NSF Awards Database, and this listing is only of NSF principal investigators. There are many more scientists (e.g., students, post-docs, staff scientists, etc.), including those funded by other agencies, who are involved in USAP. The US Antarctic Scientists Directory will provide a means for people currently involved in USAP activities to find potential collaborators, will serve as a resource for new Antarctic proposers, will allow the general public to learn more about USAP activities and accomplishments, and provide a number of other benefits to the US Antarctic community.

There are already a few entries, so you can view and search the Directory to see examples; and there is a map of US Antarctic scientist locations that will be continually updated as the Directory list increases (click on any point to get a listing of who is there).

To add your name to the Directory, please complete the Directory Registration Form. The registration process will only take a few minutes.

Data entered will not be shared beyond the public use intended for this resource (i.e., we will not be distributing listings to any other organizations). You will also be able to modify your entry or be deleted from the Directory at any time. If you have questions about the use and intent of the Directory, contact Deneb Karentz, US Delegate to SCAR.
