Research Interests
PhD in Physics with specialization in space physics, geomagnetism, and the interaction between solar winds and Earth's magnetosphere, as well as magnetospheric and ionospheric physics. Developed the first data-driven models of ionospheric plasma convection and field-aligned currents for both the Northern and Southern Polar Regions. Devised a computing code for the corrected geomagnetic coordinates based on the International Geomagnetic Field Reference Model and extended this coordinate model to include external magnetospheric currents. From 2002 to 2025, managed the Antarctic Astrophysics and Geospace Sciences Program and oversaw the IceCube Neutrino Observatory construction and maintenance, as well as other scientific instrumentation deployed at the South Pole Station and across the Antarctic Plateau.
