Research Interests
Kara Vadman is a Faculty Research Assistant at Oregon State University Marine and Geology Repository (OSU-MGR). Kara is the Antarctic Core Curator at OSU-MGR and has also served as the Instrumentation Specialist at the facility, which houses ~50 km of sediment and drill cores from around the world. Kara has participated in two Antarctic sediment coring expeditions aboard the RV Nathaniel B Palmer as a marine geologist, and 8 expeditions aboard the drilling vessel JOIDES Resolution as a marine technician. Kara was the Curator and Data Scientist with the 2025-2026 SWAIS2C Project on-ice team.
