The SCAR Biology Symposium will be held 10-14 July 2017 in Leuven, Belgium (http://kuleuvencongres.be/scarbiology2017/). US SCAR representatives are considering submission of a proposal to the NSF Division of Polar Programs which, if funded, would provide partial travel support for US participants, particularly those early in their careers and for which other NSF travel funding is not available. In order to gauge potential demand for travel funds, an indication of interest is requested from the US SCAR community. If funds become available, the application process for travel support will be described in a separate announcement that will be distributed through the US SCAR ANSWER mailing list (sign up at http://usscar.org<http://usscar.org/>).
