SCAR 101: Pre-Oslo Orientation Session (Two Date Options)

Dear US-SCAR Colleagues,

As we prepare for the 12th SCAR Open Science Conference, "Diving into Antarctic Science: Making Waves for the Future," being held in Oslo, Norway, 10-14 August 2026, we want to make sure everyone attending has the context they need to make the most of the conference and to understand how to engage with the broader SCAR organization once there.

To help with this, we will be hosting a live virtual session called SCAR 101. The session is designed especially for those who are new to SCAR, and will cover the organization's structure (Science Groups, Standing Committees, Scientific Research Programs, and action groups), how decisions are made, and how to identify the groups and programs most relevant to your own work.

We are offering two date/time options so you can attend whichever works best for your schedule:

- Option 1: Tuesday, July 28, 10:00-11:00 AM ET
