In Fiscal Year (FY) 2013, the reporting structure of Polar Programs within The National Science Foundation (NSF) was realigned from the Office of Polar Programs (OPP) to the Division of Polar Programs (PLR) within the Directorate for Geosciences (GEO).
NSF has posted a Dear Colleague Letter (DCL) seeking community input in evaluating the change of structure. The DCL can be accessed at: http://www.nsf.gov/pubs/2016/nsf16107/nsf16107.jsp?WT.mc_id=USNSF_179.
The DCL poses three questions for research community members to answer. The questions refer to data and trends available in the PLR Data Review Document (The document can be accessed at: http://www.nsf.gov/od/plr-review-data.jsp.)
Input should be submitted at: plr-review at nsf.gov
The deadline for community input is July 21, 2016.
Please distribute this information among the polar research community and related communities with an interest in polar research and polar research support.
