The National Academies invite you to this community workshop on February 9th and 10th, 2023 from 10:00am to 4:00pm ET. This workshop about future directions for Southern Ocean and Antarctic nearshore and coastal research will assist the committee in its information-gathering. Members of the report committee will hear from other experts about opportunities for research in Antarctica and the Southern Ocean. It will also provide the Office of Polar Programs with community perspectives that can be used to inform the design of the proposed Antarctic Research Vessel and the portfolio of technologies that expand capability beyond ship-based assets.
