Research Interests
Dr. Steve Emslie is an ornithologist and paleoecologist who uses stable isotope analyses to investigate past and present foraging ecology of seabirds. In particular, he has been investigating the paleohistory and paleoecology of Adelie penguins in Antarctica, and how climate change has impacted this species in the past. This information helps predict how these penguins will respond to current warming trends in Antarctica.
