Assistant Professor
South Dakota School of Mines & Technology
Research Interests
Matthias Plum is studying astroparticle physics with IceTop and IceCube. The main focus of this research is on the measurement of the mass composition of high energy cosmic rays using machine learning techniques. He is also involved in the further development of the next generation of particle detectors as part of IceCube-Gen2.
