ANTARCTIC MARINE ECOSYSTEM FUTURES

An international conference on Antarctic marine ecosystems science, ocean conservation and solutions: dedicated to the 200th year anniversary of the Antarctic continent discovery by F. Bellingshausen and M. Lazarev Russian expedition

Dear Colleagues,

The Conference Organizing Committee would like to invite you to the Antarctic Marine Ecosystem Futures Scientific Conference to be held in Moscow, Russia from the 13-15th of May, 2020 co-hosted by WWF Russia and the Severtsov Institute of Ecology and Evolution of Russian Academy of Sciences.

The goal of the Conference is to foster collaboration between scientists studying Antarctic marine ecosystems to inform policy and to highlight the role of collaborative science in Antarctica. During the Conference the participants will discuss the state of, and emerging threats to the Antarctic marine ecosystems; key challenges; and possible solutions.

The conference outputs are under consideration, with the intention to produce a synthesis piece for peer reviewed publication and dissemination of relevant information to Southern Ocean governing bodies.
