In addition to the four fellowships previously announced, a fifth fellowship is available from SCAR. The fellowships provide an opportunity for PhD students and postdoctoral researchers (within five years of completing their PhD) to work on a research project by collaborating with institutions in SCAR member countries. Following the launch of the Polar Initiative in 2022 the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation has funded an additional SCAR fellowship. Fellowships are up to USD $15,000 each.
